A Knee Too Far: The Dramatic Life of Wiggles

Well, maybe not that dramatic. Her life is actually pretty chill, but if you've ever spent time with a husky cross, you'll know that everything is cause for drama!

Wiggles is my spirited, dramatic, and fiercely affectionate German Shepherd-Husky cross. We adopted her when she was just six weeks old, from the amazing folks at Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue.
Her adopted name was 'Henna', but that didn't fit. We renamed her 'Phoebe', and that seemed to suit her better. We soon discovered that when she was excited, she would wiggle her butt so hard that she would fall over. We mockingly called her 'Wiggles', and then it just stuck.
From day one, she’s been a bundle of personality, protective but gentle, loud but loving, and full of excitement, especially when she’s out running full tilt on the beach with her best friend, and member of the pack, Savvy.

Unfortunately, all that beach zooming caught up with her. After one too many hard sprints through the sand, Wiggles tore her ACL and now needs surgery to get back to her playful, high-speed self.
This surgery is a big expense - around $4,200 CAD - and although I can cover it fully, it's a big hit to my funds, so I’m doing what I can to soften the blow.
I've also been pouring a large portion of my time in the workshop into a new collection, which I plan to release in the late summer, or early fall of this year.
So, big expenses coming in, and needing more room for the new collection (by far the most intense one yet!), means I'm going to be offering all current in-stock items on sale, all summer!
So, if you’ve had your eye on anything in the shop, now’s the time! You’ll be supporting small handmade business, and helping my loud, dramatic girl get back on her feet!
Thanks so much for being here, for supporting my little business, and for cheering on Wiggles!
