This notebook is made from nubuck leather. Nubuck is top-grain leather that has been sanded or buffed on the grain side, giving a slight nap, and velvet-like feel to the surface. It is soft to the touch, scratches easily, and will be temporarily darkened by moisture (though should return to its original colour with time). This means the leather will age and patina with use, as it collects its own, unique characteristics!
