CHANGES TO US SHIPMENTS, AND THE END OF THE DE MINIMIS EXEMPTION
UPDATES REGARDING MY ABILITY TO SHIP TO THE US WILL BE POSTED HERE, AS NEW INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE.
The majority of my customers are in the U.S., which makes these new border changes especially difficult. The end of de minimis, and the requirement for costly DDP (Delivered Duties Paid) shipping place a huge strain on my small business, as well as many other independent makers across Canada. This policy shift has very real consequences for artists and small businesses who rely on cross-border community and support.
AUG 26, 2025: Shipping to the U.S. has been temporarily suspended. Please check back for updates.
AUG 23, 2025: Beginning September 1st, U.S. shipping will be temporarily suspended due to changes at the border. With the end of de minimis allowances, all packages entering the U.S. will require DDP (Delivered Duties Paid) shipping. Unfortunately, this adds significant cost for customers, and the uncertainty around duty and brokerage fee amounts, along with the tariffs, means I cannot confidently provide information to my customers at this time.
I’ll be monitoring the situation closely, and hope to reinstate U.S. shipping as soon as a sustainable, affordable solution is in place.
Unfortunately, this means the those who are on my custom-work waiting list, and who reside in the U.S., will be contacted and informed that their order is cancelled until further notice. All deposits will be refunded, regardless of the status of the piece.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
